    Excerpt
Iloilo plans to replicate a practice of the neighboring province of Negros Occidental in conserving blue crabs. During a recent meeting on the Visayan Sea, Negros Occidental governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. shared that they have a blue crab hatchery. After meeting with Provincial Agriculturist Ildefonso Toledo and two provincial aquaculturists, Banias said they decided to send their staff to Negros Occidental – specifically in Escalante City – to study blue crab conservation.
