    Excerpt
UNA senatorial candidate Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile on Friday said he welcomed the move of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and the Department of Agriculture to lift the ban on “tamban” fishing. Tamban is being canned by local manufacturers. “This is definitely a boon to our local fishermen who have been affected by the fishing ban. This time, they should exercise responsible fishing to avoid depleting our aquatic resources,” Enrile said in a press statement.
