A stranded dolphin has been rescued by fishermen off Cagayan's northern coast. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) regional office in Tuguegarao City said the Fraser's dolphin (Lagenodelphis hosei), measuring 2.26 meters in length, is now recovering from wounds at its fishery station in Claveria town. Dr. Jovita Ayson, BFAR director for Cagayan Valley, said the mammal was found stranded by fishermen along the South China Sea coast in Pamplona town's Barangay Allasiitan on Feb. 21.
