The town of Tigbauan has been chosen as pilot area of the provincial government's beach forest program. The project aims to restore mangrove areas to migrate the adverse effects of climate change. The project covers 10 hectares of shoreline spanning Barangays 9, Poblacion, Atabayan, Barroc and Banguingin, said Mayor Suzette Alquizada.
