Protesters yesterday scuffled with security guards of the Southeast Asian Development Center (Seafdec) during a protest rally calling for the ouster of two top officials of the center. Micheal Miranda, 31, said he was struck in the shoulder with a nightstick by a security guard whom he identified only as "Leonor." He said the guard challenged the protesters to a fight before he struck him. Lemuel Elarmo, chief of security of the center, said the protesters "taunted and insulted" the security guards when they passed their outpost at the gate of the compound.en
