Thousands of students join Manila Bay cleanup

Thousands of college students yesterday trooped to Roxas Boulevard to join a clean-up drive of Manila Bay. Students from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Technological University of the Philippines, Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Technology, San Beda University, National University, San Sebastian College and University of Makati gathered as early as 6:30 a.m. at the southbound lane near the US embassy and started cleaning the bay area after a short program. Aldrin Tuma, executive director of the Global Peace Foundation Philippines, said the activity was part of their project to clean up the coastal area of Manila Bay.
