The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Region 6 has released the results of tests on the water samples taken from portions of river in Pontevedra town where a fishkill incident was reported recently. Teody Sayson, supervising agriculturist of the Municipal Government of Pontevedra, said the results showed the samples were "above the standard limits for various substances." He said laboratory results from water samples collected did not meet the standard limits for ammonia, dissolved oxygen, and nitrite.
