The implementation of the new rules and regulations for whale shark-watching in Oslob, Cebu has been put on hold after local tourism workers and operators complained that the policy favors city-based tour guides. Cebu Vice Governor Agnes A. Magpale told reporters on Tuesday that she found the complaints “valid” and so she ordered that a “status quo” be maintained until further discussions are undertaken.
