    Excerpt
Shore It Up! (SIU), an environmental awareness initiative of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), celebrated last March 2 to 4 its 10th year of rescuing, restoring and reviving bodies of water and coastlines all over the Philippines. The SIU program, carried out by Metro Pacific Investments Foundation (MPIF), kicked off in 2009 to "shore up" the environment through underwater and coastal clean-ups, as a small yet significant step towards environmental awareness. Starting with just 20 divers, Shore It Up! held its first underwater and shore clean-up activity in Anilao, Batangas.
