    Excerpt
Eight in 10 Filipinos believe the government's supposed inaction over China's intrusion in the West Philippine Sea is wrong, and more Filipinos prefer strengthening the military as a deterrent to diplomatic action, the third quarter survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed. The September 15 to 23 survey, which involved 1,500 adult respondents nationwide, showed that 84 percent of Filipinos (up from 81 percent in June) believe it is "not right" for government to leave China alone with its infrastructure and military presence in the claimed territories. Only 16 percent (down from 19 percent) said it is "right."
