    After the successful rehabilitation of Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan the Department of Natural Resources (DENR) 6 will strengthen its campaign to reclaim the wetlands as well as forestlands in the island of Boracay. Assistant Secretary for Staff Bureaus Ricardo Calderon said the agency will consult or organized the community and transform them as partners in the rehabilitation, recovery, and protection of the island. The DENR is eying to reclaim three wetlands in Boracay that have the most number of illegal occupants and structures that are blocking the natural water outflow to the sea.
