Dr. Joebert Toledo was recently appointed new Chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC/AQD). Recommended by Philippine Government, Dr. Toledo’s official appointment was signed by SEAFDEC Secretary-General Dr. Siri Ekmaharaj after the concurrence of Council Directors during the 38th SEAFDEC Council Meeting held in Brunei Darussalam on 18-21 April 2006. Dr. Toledo has been with SEAFDEC/AQD since 18-21 April 2006. Dr. Toledo has been with SEAFDEC/AQD since 1981. He rose from the ranks, from Research Assistant to Scientist and then finally as Department Chief.
