Food security and attainment of a robust economy
Excerpt
In the Philippines and throughout the world, food security and the attainment of a robust economy will always remain a major challenge. Towards the attainment of this goal, agricultural productivity must be achieved in the midst of declining resources such as land, water, and other agricultural inputs through improved technologies. Above all, there is a need to ensure that these technologies are transferred efficiently to their intended beneficiaries. The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) continually faces these challenges.
