Depratment of Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol led the distribution of P 31 million worth of farm and fishery equipment and indemnity checks to farmers and fisherfolks of Western Visayas on July 25, 2018 at the Western Visayas Agriculture and Research Consortium (WESVIARC) center in Jaro, Iloilo. In his speech, Piñol reiterated the fast delivery of interventions to farmers under the Duterte administration. A total of P1.131 million in indemnity checks from the Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. were handed out to farmers from Anilao, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Cabatuan, Dumangas, Dueñas, Igbaras, Oton, and Tigbauan.
