A total of P45,000 fines were slapped against 38 fishermen caught using trawl and round haul seine within 15 kilometers from Concepcion town's coastline. The use of active gears in municipal water violates Section 95 of Republic Act 10654, the act amending the Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998, and Section 9.06 of Municipal Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2008.
