Every September, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) participates in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) a global movement that provides opportunity to make a difference in the deterioration of our oceans. With this year’s theme: “Tayo ang Solusyon sa Polusyon”, the ICC will be conducted along the 5-km coastline from Brgy. Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo to Calumpang, Molo Iloilo City, which aims to further protect ocean waters, marine wildlife and habitat, human health and safety. The ICC is the world’s largest volunteer effort for ocean health and is conducted every 3rd Saturday of September, in order to get rid of trash, provide information and raise environmental awareness.en
