Safety of Philippine sardine products discussed in Thailand

Dean Emilia Santos-Yap of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV)-College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) discussed the improvement of Philippines’ sardine industry among various representatives various Asian representatives. “Mapping out the value chain for improved quality and safety of Philippine sardine products,” was the opening presentation in the Session 8: postharvest, fish products and food safety of the conference. Dean Yap led the delegation of the University in the recently concluded 8th International Fisheries Symposium (IFS) in HatYai, Thailand on November 18-21, 2018.
