    Excerpt
The Boracay rehabilitation was among the topics discussed in the recently concluded East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress, a triennial regional conference that gathered international experts to exchange knowledge towards sustainable use of marine resources, seas and oceans. Aimee Gonzales, executive director of Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), said that the solutions and accomplishments to environmental issues surrounding the island were highlighted in the sessions. Undersecretary Analiza Rebuelta-Teh, Undersecretary for Climate Change Service and Mining Concerns of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), also mentioned the Boracay rehabilitation in one of her speeches, Gonzales said.
