    Seafdec to set up fish caging demo farm

    The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) has set up a freshwater fish caging demonstration farm at Barangay Tumalalud in Dumarao town and benefiting 36 farmers. The demo farm will cultivate tilapia, bangus, shrimp, and bighead carp. "The project will provide an alternative livelihood to the farmers that have been affected backflow of an irrigation dam," said Engineer Julieta Gallardo, NIA-Capiz public information officer.
