It's final. OnMarch 14, Petron Corp. will start extracting the remaining bunker fuel from MT Solar, almost seven months at the Iloilo- Guimaras Strait, causing an oil spill. Petron has tapped the Singapore-based Sonsub to do the siphoning. According to Rubin Galleti, commercial manager of Sonsub, their oil extraction equipment will be arriving in Guimaras on March 14 from Singapore.
