Because of its significance, the Philippine Science High School-Eastern Visayas Campus (PHSH-EVC) in Palo, Leyte emphasized the importance of preserving biodiversity in the region through the Biodiversity and Vulnerable Ecosystems Research (BiVER) Program.en
