Under the Memorandum Circular No. 2018-08 dated July 18, 2018 signed by DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu, all Existing ECCs in the island are suspended and will be reviewed for their compliance with current local and national laws, rules and regulations. Cimatu said results of the cadastral mapping and carrying capacity study of the island shall be taken into full consideration in reviewing the ECCs.en
