    The rehabilitation of Boracay island will bring long-lasting benefits to locals and the entire country, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said Thursday. Go, who supervised the giving of financial assistance to displaced Boracay workers, said he was instructed by President Rodrigo Duterte to check the progress of the island’s rehabilitation. “Iniisip ni Presidente ang kapakananan ng nakararami as always. So kung ano mang plano para sa Boracay, kapakanan ng karamihan at kabutihan ng bawat Pilipino lalo ng residente ng Boracay ang isinasaalang-alang (The President always puts the interest of the majority at the forefront.
