PSA-Guimaras conducts fisheries survey

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted the quarterly survey on fisheries in selected sample households and fish landing centers in Guimaras province to capture the volume of production and prices during the second quarter of 2018. According to Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Nelida B. Losare, the survey covers municipal, inland and aquaculture fishing operations and no commercial fishing operates in the province. The survey will generate accurate information on the volume and value of fish unloaded in municipal landing centers, fish catch in inland fishing households and the fishery production and prices by species.
