Two of the country’s hottest tourist destinations made it to this year’s list of “15 Best Islands of the World” of New York-based magazine Travel+Leisure. Palawan ranked sixth with a score of 90.04. The island, which is a favorite among T+L readers, was voted number one in 2017 and 2013. It ceded the top spot to Java, Indonesia, a newcomer in the list, with a score of 95.28 Cebu returned to the magazine’s list this year after dropping in 2016, taking the eighth spot with a score of 89.10. Boracay, which is currently in rehabilitation, failed to make the cut this year; it ranked third in 2017.
