Bunker oil believed to be leaking from a sunken cargo ship in Iloilo-Guimaras Strait were found in a mangrove area in Jordan, Guimaras. A report from Task Force Sportivo said portions of the mangrove area in Brgy. Hoskyn, Guimaras were already observed. “Bunker oil slick was observed in the roots of bungalon (Avincenea Marina), drifted debris and on the rocks near the roll on-roll off (RORO) terminal which cause unpleasant odor,” the report said.
