local.descriptionIloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. on Thursday asked experts to conduct another test to determine the air quality at the oil spill site in Brgy. Botongon, Estancia. Defensor said that inspectors from the Environmental Management Bureau will be at the site today to conduct ambient air quality monitoring for benzene and hydrogen sulfide concentrations. If the air is clear of pollution, Defensor said that he will ask the Department of Health to issue another certification indicating that the evacuees, especially those living within the 20-meter radius, may return to their homes.en
