The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Guimaras created Task Force Sportivo to look into the oil spill penetrating some coastal barangays and to seek solutions to its harmful effects. The island province is not leaving anything to chance, having learned from the 2006 oil spill that hit it. They have been preparing for possible oil spill caused by sunken M/V Sportivo right after they learne the incident on Sunday, Siason said.
