The provincial government here is seeking a dialogue with Negros Occidental officials to come up with solutions to the illegal fishing problem. Gov. Samuel Gumarin said illegal fishing is rampant in Guimaras’ waters facing Negros Island. This area is at the back of Panobolon Island in the municipality of Nueva Valencia and Inampulugan Island in Sibunag town facing Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.
