    Based on the latest laboratory results of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and Local Government Units (LGUs), shellfishes collected at Irong-Irong Bay in Western Samar; coastal waters of Leyte and Carigara Bay in Leyte; Lianga Bay in Surigao del Sur; Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan; and Coastal waters of Milagros Masbate are still positive for paralytic shellfish poison that is beyond the regulatory limit. Moreover, Coastal waters of Biliran Province is now positive for the red tide toxin. All types of shellfish and Acetes sp. or alamang gathered from the area shown above are not safe for human consumption.
