    Excerpt
There are still red tide toxins in Gigantes Island in Carles, Iloilo, according to Fish Bulletin No. 3 of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Based on laboratory test results, shellfishes collected from the area were positive for paralytic shellfish toxins beyond the regulatory limit. Because of this, residents were prohibited from collecting, selling, transporting and eating shellfishes from Gigantes’ waters.
