P490M for Boracay road rehab

The road widening project in this island resort will receive P490 million from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Aklan District Engineer Noel Fuentebella said the rehabilitation of the Boracay main road, which will measure 12 meters in width, is under a Malay municipal ordinance that aims to ease traffic in the island. Fuentebella said the Boracay main road project includes the construction of a bike lane and a walkway and the installation of streetlights and drainage systems.
