    Excerpt
The Philippines is pushing for the protection of marine biodiversity as a significant way of sustaining and even improving the productivity in the fishing industry sector. Environment Secretary Ramon Paje called for greater cooperation among 21 member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) to unlock the full potential of the So-called "blue economy" and achieve inclusive growth in the region. Paje delivered the opening remarks at the APEC High Level Policy Dialogue on Food Security and Blue Economy at the Iloilo International Convention Center in Iloilo City on Sunday.
