Manipulators are controlling prices of bangrus or bangus (milkfish) in the market, according to a fisheries group leader. According to Philippine Alliance of Fisheries Producers Inc President Joseph Martin Borromeo, they could not identify the manipulators but they are certain that some “middlemen” are able to control the prices before the products reach the consumers. “It’s a problem in Manila. Manipulators are strong to be able to control the prices. Hindi mo alam kung sino pero alam mo na “middlemen” sila ang kumukontrol kase sa kanila dumadaan ang goods and sila ang nagpi-presyo,” Borromeo said.en
