local.descriptionThe continuing seaborne patrol operation of the Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force led to the arrest of five suspected illegal fishers in Barangay, Concepcion town. According to a report from Charlie Asturias, the task force's team leader, the erring fishermen have to pay P2,500 each for violating Section 9.06 of Concepcion's Municipal Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2008 (Engaging in Fishing/Fishery Activity Without License or Permit). They were detained in lock-up cell of Concepcion Municipal Police Station and will be released once the compromise fines are paid.en
