Ilonggo authors to book on coastal plants

Two Ilonggo scientists will launch an environmental book on Beach Forest Species and Mangrove Associates in the Philippine at the Camiña Balay nga Nato in Arevalo, Iloilo City on November 16, 2012. Dr. Jurgen H. Primavera and Dr. Rex B. Sabada wrote the book describing 140 species and their importance to coastal protection as greenbelts, bioshields, ornamental medicinal and other traditional uses, biotech industrial applications and reforestation. The book is supported by UNESCO Jakarta, MAB, Japan FIT and SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department and contains 160 pages with 1,000 color photos, glossary and references.
