This province will host the 4th Governor's meeting on the Visayan Sea Protection and Coastal Law Enforcement Program or the Visayan Sea Summit tomorrow. The meeting to be held in Hotel del Rio, Iloilo City will be attended by the governors of the four provinces surrounding the Visayan Sea, namely, Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. of Iloilo, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia of Cebu. The invited resource person is the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource ( BFAR), Director Asis G. Perez, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center- Aquaculture Department ( Seafdec-AQD) Director Dr. Joebert Toledo, and popular environmental lawyer Antonio Oposa. Meanwhile, there will also be a presentation of the different Coastal Resource Management ( CRM) initiatives by the participating provinces.
