Millions of blue swimming crablets were released into the sea in the coastal barangay of Mangorocoro, Ajuy, Iloilo, to increase its population. Iloilo Board Member Jett Roxas of the fifth district and chairman of Committee on Aquatic Resources said the crablets released by the Philippine Association of Crab Processors, Inc. (PACPI) were cultured at the hatchery of the Southeast Asian Fisheries and Development Council (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan, Iloilo.“Hopefully, the crablets would grow and produce millions of eggs next year,” Rojas said.
