Government auditors have labeled the P281.2 million community Fish Landing Centers (CFLC) project of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources as a "wastage of government funds" after discovering that only 19 out of 96 structures planned were delivered within schedule. The fish landing centers were supposed to serve as trading hub for fresh catch and process products, a site for skills training development for local fishermen, and a location for data collection on fisheries management.
