The Department of Agriculture (DA) reported the International Fun for Agricultural Development (IFAD) of the United Nations pledges $ 55 million for two projects that will start next year that aim to help fisherfolk and poor farmers. The projects to be funded are the Convergence of Value-Chain Enhancement for Rural Growth and Empowerment (CONVERGE) and Fisheries Coastal Resources and Livelihood (FishCORAL). In partnership with the DA's Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, FishCoral covers 14 provinces in Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
