    Fisheries bureau raises red tide alert in Davao

    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources yesterday raised the red tide alert in the coastal waters of Balite Bay in Mati, Davao Oriental. BFAR in its recent shellfish bulletin said that the coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in Pangasinan are also still positive for red tide toxin. “All types of shellfish and alamang from these areas are not safe for human consumption,” said BFAR Director Asis Perez.
