Farmers and fisherfolk in Capiz will be honored today at Villareal Stadium, Roxas City as part of the Capiztahan Festival. With the theme “Agrikultura: Pasanyugon Para sa Bugana nga Pagkaon,” the 8th Farmers and Fisherfolk Day will be graced by Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala. Around 2,500 farmers and fisherfolk, members of registered cooperatives and associations, agricultural extension workers, and local government officials are expected to attend the event.
