To save the dwindling population of seahorses in the wild, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan, Iloilo developed a breeding technology. SEAFDEC is currently on a " conditioning experiment" at the Sagay Marine Reserve in Negros Occidental to determine the size of juvenile seahorses suitable to survive predators in the wild. The breeding technology that SEAFDEC developed is one of the 12 exhibits in the ongoing Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's High-Level Policy Dialogue on Food Security and the Blue Economy meeting here.en
