This city was chosen to be the venue of the first National Mud Crab Congress to be held at Diversion 21 Hotel from Nov. 16 to 18. Scientists, industry practitioners, stakeholders, and academe representatives from different parts of the country are expected to gather to discuss the present state of mud crab industry and share the largest developments on its culture. It is spearheaded by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Aquaculture Department and the University of the Philippines Visayas with funding from the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and National Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology.
