    Excerpt
The Australian government has expressed concern over china's proclamation activities in south china sea and the resulting rise of tension in the region, said top diplomat in the Philippines. speaking to reporters on Thursday, Australian ambassador Bill Tweddell said that while Australia chooses not to take sides on the competing maritime claims in the south china sea, china's reclamation activities were something to be concerned about. In the arbitration case that it brought before a United Nations tribunal in the Hague, the Philippines has invoked Unclos in challenging China’s nine-dash-line claim over almost the entire South China Sea.
