DFA launches information campaign on West Phi Sea
MetadataShow full item record
The government has launched the second part of a documentary on the West Philippine Sea dispute aimed at further raising local and international awareness of the issue. The documentary is also intended to help rekindle patriotism among Filipinos in the face of China's seizure of some islets and land forms in the Philippines waters and other coercive Chinese activities in the region. The documentary also disputes China's nine-dash maritime claim. China is now claiming almost the entire South China Sea and the West Philippine Sea, citing historical records. It has built several artificial islands to strengthen its claim.
