    Operatives of the Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force arrested 45 fishermen engaging in trawl fishing off the coast of Naburot Island and Manlangabang Island in Concepcion town on Wednesday. The fishermen, who lacked permits and licenses, were apprehended for violations of Section 86 of Republic Act (8550) (Unauthorized Fishing) and Municipal Ordinance No. 1, Series of 2008 the rule that prohibits the use of trawl 15 kilometers from coastline of the town. Trawling is a method of fishing that involves pulling a fishing net through the water behind one or more boats.
