    Eight fishermen from Bantayan Island in Cebu were charged with illegal fishing here. They were caught using super hulbot-hulbot 12.46 kilometers off the coast of Baliguian Island in Concepcion town. Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force operations chief SPO1 Gilbert Piedad field a criminal complaint for violation of Section 86 of Republic Act (RA) 8550 (Unauthorize Fishing) before the Municipal Trial Circuit Court (MTCC) of San Dionisio on Tuesday.
