About 7,000 tilapia and bangus fingerlings were released at Iloilo River recently as part of the Iloilo City government’s efforts to rehabilitate the river. Senate President Franklin Drilon led the dispersal of the fingerlings provided by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-6 under its Fingerling Dispersal Program. The fingerlings are expected to mature in four to six months. The public can benefit from it especially those who are engaged in recreational fishing, Drilon said.en
