The Philippines is set to acquire technology that will allow it to verify reports that China has installed missile systems in the disputed Spratly Islands group, Malacañang said yesterday. Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said the government has not verified reports about China’s deployment of missiles in the South China Sea because it has no capability to do so.
